Academic Eligibility
Class Standard
Students must be studying in Class 8 in a government, government-aided, or local body school at the time of application.
Minimum Marks
Students must have scored at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class 7 examination. For SC/ST category, the minimum is 50%.
School Type
Only regular students studying in government, government-aided, and local body schools are eligible. Students from private schools are not eligible.
Income Criteria
Parental Income
The parental income from all sources should not exceed ₹3.5 lakh per annum. This includes income of both parents/guardians.
Income Certificate
Applicants must submit a valid income certificate issued by a competent authority (Tehsildar or equivalent officer).
Other Conditions
Non-eligibility
Students studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools, and residential schools are not eligible for this scholarship.
Reservation
Reservation applies as per government norms: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 27% for OBC candidates. 4% for differently-abled students.
Documentation
Students must have valid caste certificate (if applicable), income certificate, and other required documents as specified by the authorities.
