SSC CPO Exam Overview
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Central Police Organization (CPO) examination for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Assistant Sub-Inspectors in CISF. The selection process consists of multiple stages:
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent. Final year students can also apply provided they submit proof of passing the examination before the specified date.
Age Limit
For SI in Delhi Police: 20-25 years
For SI in CAPFs: 20-25 years
For ASI in CISF: 20-25 years
Age relaxation applicable as per government rules for reserved categories.

Selection Process
Tier I – Computer Based Examination
Objective type multiple choice questions testing General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
Tier II – Computer Based Examination
Objective type multiple choice questions with questions from English Language & Comprehension and Mathematical Abilities.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates who qualify Tier I and Tier II are called for PET/PST which includes running, long jump, high jump, and physical measurements.
Medical Examination
Final stage of selection process to ensure candidates meet the medical standards required for the job.

For Male Candidates:
– General, SC & OBC: 170 cm
– Hill areas: 165 cm
– ST: 162.5 cm

– Minimum: 80 cm (unexpanded)
