Examination Overview
The UPSC CISF AC(EXE) LDCE is a limited departmental competitive examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the Central Industrial Security Force. Service Criteria
Candidate must be a serving personnel in CISF with:
- Sub-Inspector/Exe (GD) with 5 years of regular service
- Inspector/Exe (GD) with 2 years of regular service
- ASI (GD) with 8 years of regular service
- Head Constable (GD) with 10 years of regular service

Age Limit
A candidate must not have attained the age of 35 years as on 1st August of the examination year.
Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules:
- SC/ST: Up to 5 years
- OBC: Up to 3 years
- Departmental candidates: Up to 5 years
- Other categories as per government norms
Physical Standards
Candidates must meet the following physical standards:
For Male Candidates
- Height: 165 cm
- Chest: 81-86 cm (unexpanded-expanded)
- Weight: Proportionate to height
For Female Candidates
- Height: 157 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height
Note: Physical standards may have relaxations for candidates from certain categories as per government rules.

The CISF AC(EXE) LDCE consists of a written examination followed by Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, and Interview/Personality Test.

Candidates who qualify the written examination are called for PET and PST:
Physical Efficiency Test (Male Candidates)
- 100 meters race in 16 seconds
- 800 meters race in 3 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.5 meters (3 chances)
- Shot Put (7.26 Kgs): 4.5 meters
Physical Efficiency Test (Female Candidates)
- 100 meters race in 18 seconds
- 800 meters race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.0 meters (3 chances)
- Shot Put (4 Kgs): 3.5 meters
Physical Standard Test
Measurement of height, chest (for males), and weight to ensure they meet the prescribed standards.
Candidates who qualify the written examination and PET/PST are called for Interview/Personality Test:
- Carries 150 marks
- Assesses leadership qualities, mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation
- Clear and logical exposition, balance of judgment, variety and depth of interest
- Ability for social cohesion, intellectual and moral integrity
